This past week, our President had the incredible opportunity to represent MAD for Europe at the second edition of the ECON Network, a growing initiative uniting European organizations, NGOs, companies, and universities committed to promoting European values and policies.
We had the privilege of meeting inspiring and highly professional new partners, exchanging visions, and establishing synergies to collaborate on future projects that align with our shared mission of creating a better Europe.
To make it even more special, we gathered at the stunning University of Porto, a place filled with history, knowledge, and vibrant energy, which provided the perfect backdrop for our collective brainstorming and discussions.
A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and all the participants who made this experience so enriching and memorable. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of teamwork and shared vision in building a brighter European future. An Unforgettable Day of Inclusive Sports!

This Saturday, we celebrated the Inclusive Sports Day as part of our Erasmus+ InSports project, and it was a day to remember!

The event brought together many participants from the Juan XXIII Foundation, but it was also open to anyone who wanted to join us and experience the joy of inclusive and adaptive sports.

From trying wheelchair paddle tennis, to experiencing the thrill of hand bike cycling, every activity reminded us of the power of inclusion and teamwork. Meanwhile, our paddle tennis enthusiasts shared their passion in an exciting exhibition tournament that filled the courts with cheers and camaraderie.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made this day so special. You proved once again that sports unite us all, breaking down barriers and building connections!

Erasmus+ Projects: Spring 2025 Highlights

What an incredible spring we’ve had with two of our Erasmus+ KA1 youth exchanges that brought together passionate young people from across Europe.
In March, we launched “European Mit(h)os of Youth” (EMoY) — an inspiring journey where 8 diverse countries (Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Estonia, Romania) dived deep into the rich tapestry of European myths, folklore, and cultural heritage. For a whole week in Madrid, these stories became a gateway to understanding shared values, sparking cultural awareness, and promoting meaningful intercultural dialogue — all within the buzz of today’s digital age. The result? Unforgettable moments, eye-opening discussions, and new friendships that will last a lifetime.

Fast forward to April, and Madrid hosted the “European Union Chronicles: Weaving Heritage, Nurturing History, Empowering Youth for a Unified Tomorrow” (EU-ECHO) project. Here, participants from various EU member and candidate countries like Albania, Italy, Romania and Slovakia came together to unpack the real impact of the EU on daily life and to cultivate a stronger, united European identity. Through dynamic workshops and teamwork, this exchange empowered critical thinking, active citizenship, and a renewed sense of belonging to a shared European future.

Both projects emphasized the power of youth to connect cultures, nurture history, and inspire change.

Last week we had the pleasure of being guests on a local radio show, together with the audiovisual internship students! It was a great opportunity to share the story of MAD for Europe — who we are, what we do, and the journey that brought us here.

We also talked about the most recent projects we’ve successfully completed, and gave a sneak peek into the exciting activities we’re preparing for the near future.

From the projects we’ve just completed to the exciting ones ahead, it was a great chance to reflect on our mission: empowering young people through mobility, creativity, and European collaboration.

MAD for Europe goes global – A milestone moment

This week, MAD for Europe has the honor of welcoming almost 70 executives and faculty members from the MBA program at the Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), one of the most prestigious business schools in Asia and internationally.

This experience marks a significant milestone for us: our first large-scale collaboration with a country outside the European Union — and with exceptional results.

Organized in partnership with IESEG School of Management (Paris), the International Immersion Program in Madrid is designed to connect top academic talent with the European professional landscape, through a high-impact blend of learning, dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.

During the first days of the program, participants have engaged in a welcome and orientation session, a guided cultural tour of Madrid and visited key institutions shaping innovation, industry and leadership in Spain.

For MAD for Europe, this program represents much more than coordination: it is a clear step forward in our mission to build meaningful bridges between education and enterprise, across continents and cultures.

We are proud of this achievement, grateful for the trust of our international partners, and excited for the opportunities ahead.

MAD for Europe goes bigger – and beyond!

Last week, MAD for Europe proudly hosted the second edition of the International Immersion Program in Madrid, welcoming an extraordinary group of 120 executives and students from the Indian Institute of Management – Lucknow (IIM Lucknow), one of Asia’s most prestigious business schools.
This is a historic moment for us: the largest delegation we have ever hosted — a true challenge turned into a success, and a milestone we are thrilled to celebrate.

Together with our partner IESEG School of Management (Paris), we designed a high-impact journey that combined academic excellence, executive learning, and first-hand exposure to Europe’s leading business and cultural ecosystems.

For MAD for Europe, this second edition is more than just growth in numbers — it is proof of our commitment to creating meaningful connections between education and enterprise, and to bridging cultures through transformative learning experiences.

Last week, something very special happened at MAD for Europe.
In collaboration with Fundación Madrina, our team welcomed 20 vulnerable families and shared a beautiful inclusion moment. Together, we prepared and delivered food and hygiene packs for parents and their children, small gestures filled with care, respect and human warmth.

This experience reminded us that inclusion is not built through words alone, but through presence, listening and genuine connection. At MAD for Europe, volunteering is not an add-on to our projects, it is the heart of them. Inspired by European values, we believe that solidarity and dignity must translate into real actions, especially for those who need it most.

We are really grateful to Fundación Madrina for their trust and for the incredible work they do every day.
